What is Pelvic Floor Therapy?
Pelvic floor physical therapy is a specialized branch of physical therapy that focuses on the muscles, joints, nerves, and connective tissues of the pelvis and surrounding regions. These structures play a critical role in bladder and bowel control, sexual function, core stability, and overall pelvic alignment.
When these systems aren’t working well, it can lead to symptoms like leaking, pain, pressure, constipation, or a general sense of tightness or disconnection. Our job is to assess how your body is moving, identify contributing factors, and create a treatment plan that helps you feel—and function—better.
At The Pelvic Model, we take a full-body approach to care. That means we’ll never just “give you Kegels.” Instead, we look at how your core, breath, posture, and daily habits all work together. We combine manual therapy, movement, education, and nervous system support to guide your healing from the inside out.

The Pelvic Model is the absolute best! I've had pelvic/bladder symptoms for years due to endometriosis and they have completely extinguished my pain. Everyone’s bedside manner is warm and welcoming and they always makes me feel comfortable. I live in West LA and travel an hour to see The Pelvic Model because it is SO worth it!!

Andrew - After 6 Visits
I wasn't really sure what to expect and I was pretty nervous, but the whole process with everybody at The Pelvic Model quickly put me at ease. Everybody there is super friendly and welcoming. My treatments with [my doctor] have me feeling hopeful about my prognosis. She's really taken the time to understand the entirely of my situation and careful to always make sure I understand how things got where they did and what her plan is to resolve my issues. I'm already seeing some improvements in my symptoms and I'm feeling confident that I made the right decision in choosing to come here.
