Dr. Rachel Daof, PT, DPT

& FOUNDER

Rachel is the founder of The Pelvic Model, a pelvic health clinic rooted in Northeast Los Angeles, and a passionate pelvic floor physical therapist. Her passion for pelvic health began early—while still in high school, she enrolled in college-level courses in sexual psychology and women’s history. These early explorations sparked a deep curiosity about the body and our systems of care, ultimately leading her to pursue a career in pelvic health—one that’s grounded in a holistic approach and aimed at helping people feel confident, trusting, and hopeful in both their care and their bodies.

Rachel brings deep clinical experience from working at several top pelvic health clinics across Southern California, including a hospital-based program, where she’s treated a wide range of pelvic floor conditions. Her approach is grounded in both advanced orthopedic and visceral techniques and is continually shaped by ongoing education. She regularly attends professional conferences and has pursued extensive postgraduate training, including yoga certification, PCES certification, and specialized coursework in pelvic health— among many others. As a proud member of ISSWSH, Rachel stays connected to the latest research and innovations in sexual and pelvic health care.

Dr. Lilit Melikyan, PT, DPT

Lilit has earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from California State University, Northridge and has been working as a licensed physical therapist since 2020. During her first pregnancy, Lilit experienced the challenges of postpartum recovery, which started her journey to specialize in pelvic floor dysfunctions.

Lilit treats all genders with bladder dysfunction, bowel dysfunction, sexual dysfunction, pelvic pain, pregnancy and postpartum patients with utilization of her orthopedic skills, visceral fascia mobilization and myofascial mobilization.

She is continuously trying to broaden her knowledge and expertise in the field to better educate and treat all individuals in order to optimize pelvic health and allow each patient to live a more fulfilled quality of life.

Dr. Dru Ishibashi, PT, DPT

Dru earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in Austin, TX. She decided to specialize in pelvic health physical therapy after completing a clinical rotation in a pelvic health setting and seeing how the patient population is largely underserved. Dru works with patients of all gender identities with diagnoses ranging from sexual dysfunction, bladder/bowel dysfunction, pregnancy and postpartum, and gender affirming care.

Dru is very passionate about working with marginalized communities and advocating for equity in terms of access to and quality of medical care. She also enjoys working with athletes, having played basketball and soccer at the varsity level during her undergraduate years. Dru uses a holistic biopsychosocial approach for every patient in order to meet each patient where they are and provide the best possible individualized care.

In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with her dog Ladybird and taking care of her plants.

Dr. Ashley Huynh, PT, DPT

Ashley is a board-certified physical therapist with a doctorate in physical therapy with two years of sports ortho-physical therapy training. Over the past year, Ashley started her pelvic floor physical therapy training in hopes of helping women and men gain confidence, independence, and, most importantly, an acknowledgment of their struggles and allow them a safe space to rehab.

With the combination of pelvic floor and sports ortho training, Ashley aims to bridge the gap and help all who walk through our doors become the best versions of themselves and allow them to pursue happiness.

Dr. Karin Andersson, PT, DPT

Karin graduated with her doctorate in physical therapy from Western University of Health Sciences nearly 10 years ago. Since her schooling, she has always held a deep interest in women's health and sports performance. She has worked with many high level athletes, as well as "weekend warriors."

Karin has always felt strongly about taking care of women, which was her gateway to pelvic therapy. Pelvic health has always been a part of her practice, however her interest and passion took off when she had her 2 children and went through all that is pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. She now treats all pelvic, hip, and spinal dysfunctions including bowel/bladder issues, pregnancy/post partum, sexual dysfunction, and back pain for all genders with a unique mix of orthopedic and pelvic skills.

In her free time, you'll catch her road biking, lifting weights, and as much as possible, heading to the mountains for good skiing with her husband and sons.
